What You Need to Know
LED vs Reflective Flame Technology
Modern electric fireplaces use two primary flame technologies. LED-based systems (used in the Avanti and FireFX ranges) create vivid, colourful flame effects using arrays of high-quality LEDs. Reflective systems (used in the eReflex range) use mirrors and LED light sources to create a deeper, more layered flame with greater perceived depth. Both technologies produce excellent results — the choice often comes down to personal preference and budget.
Heat Output & Efficiency
Electric fireplaces are 100% efficient at point of use — all electrical energy consumed is converted directly to heat. Most models in our range offer adjustable heat output between 1kW and 2kW, suitable for supplementary heating in living rooms and bedrooms.
Sizing Your Fireplace
The width of your fireplace should be proportional to your media wall. As a guide: walls under 2m wide suit the Atmos 105 or eReflex 135RW; walls between 2–3m suit the Avanti 150RW, eReflex 150RW, or Atmos 165; walls over 3m suit the Avanti 190RW, eReflex 195RW, or Atmos 195.
